Descend into the past and meet a different kind of LondonGone are the days when attending an event meant that you had to sit and watch. Nowadays you are asked to be part of the action, immerse yourself and experience the event first hand. The TickTack Club is a perfect example of such a thrilling adventure.
Inspired by the era of BBC's Peaky Blinders, this is an immersive food and entertainment experience taking place in an "illicit" drinking and gambling den run by seedy gangsters, hidden under the train tracks. Spread across two floors you can indulge into a luscious dinner, sip fabulous cocktails, gamble on horses, sing around the ol' Joanna, or meet a gangster or two.
Sample menu (choose and taste from both floors):
- canapes made with smoked salmon, smoked haddock, kippers, brown shrimp, lobster
- roast oysters with butter sauce
- pheasant ballotine with chestnuts
- slow roast mutton with mushroom ketchup
- sauteed wild mushrooms, poached egg, horseradish and toast
- twice baked herb soufflé with pickled vegetables
- treacle pudding
Gluten free options available and the stuff will endeavour to cater for allergies.
Bespoke '20s inspired drinks:
- The Gambler
- Curly's Love Potion
- Flapper's Delight
- Mr. Kimber's Tipple
Any reference to gambling is strictly for amusement and tomfoolery as part of the immersive entertainment. Dress code: this is a "time travelling" event taking us to the '20s, so patrons are encouraged to dress for the occasion. The email addresses of attendees will be shared with event organisers so they can share event specific info.
