People, Places And Things

A dramatic tour de force inspecting addiction in a modern world

"Vivid. Vibrant. Astonishing performances from Denise Gough, Barbara Marten and Alistair Cope."

- Guardian
2016 Olivier Award Winner – Best Actress and Best Sound Design One moment you're on top of the world. The next, it all comes crashing down. Emma was on the top: now, she's in rehab. The first step that she must make in her path towards recovery is to admit that she has a problem. But the problem isn't with her…it's with everything else. The modern world can be cold, brutal and hard to handle. When intoxication feels like the only way to survive the modern world how can she ever sober up? People, Places And Things completed its sell-out run of shows at the National Theatre and was snapped up by Wyndham's Theatre on the West End for a limited number of shows. With leading lady Denise Gough having just won the Critics’ Circle Award and the Olivier for Best Actress there's no excuse not to see this marvel of modern theatre. Charles Wyndham always dreamed of building a theatre of his own. In 1900, having won over the admiration of a patron and the financial confidence of friends, he realised his dream and opened the Wyndham's Theatre. Now, the Wyndham's is one of the most reputable venues in London's West End. Expect quality shows that are original, inventive and every bit as exciting as the West End should be. ★★★★★ – Evening Standard ★★★★ – Guardian ★★★★ – Time Out ★★★★ – Independent ★★★★ – The Times ★★★★ – Financial Times ★★★★ – The Sunday Times ★★★★ – Mail On Sunday ★★★★ – Sunday Express Recommended for ages 15 and up.
