Pillow Cinema: Pulp Fiction
You won't know the facts until you've seen the fiction
The Pillow Cinema have made it their mission to turn your movie nights into unforgettable experiences. After a glorious summer of screening s they now take their magic to the beautiful Sutton House, a stunning Tudor home run by The National Trust in the heart of Hackney. Filled with oak-panelled rooms and charming original features, it’s the perfect setting for cosying up with a movie and a loved one this winter. Quentin Tarantino is the master of lovably violent films. This post-modern classic uses humour and quick-fire dialogue to connect the lives of LA mobsters, small-time criminals and a mysterious briefcase. Oozing pop culture references – including what is probably best exchange about foreign fast food the big screen has ever seen – its highly stylised neo-noir aesthetic has marked it as an instant winner with audiences. "Pulp Fiction is ferocious fun without a trace of caution, complacency or political correctness." – Rolling Stone "The dialogue, the soundtrack, the sheer directionless excitement – Tarantino's thunderclap of a thriller is just as brilliant as it was two decades ago." – The Guardian Certificate: 18. Valid ID required. Runtime: 2 hours 28 minutes. Doors to Sutton House open half an hour before the event. The film will start at the advertised time, and no trailers will be shown in advance. The fatboy bean bags are huge, and seat one person spaciously or two people snuggled up. If lounging's not really your thing, you can also grab a more traditional seat. Either way, there'll be blankets and cushions available for all.
"Brilliantly written and unfathomably cool."
