Will Ferrell…in a giant, green elf costume. What more d'ya need to know?
The odds for a white Christmas in London have dramatically increased thanks to Pop Up Screens. Head to Notting Hill's 20th Century Theatre and step through their magic wardrobe to discover a secret cinema surrounded by snow. Rumour has it that a bar filled with an abundance of mulled wine, hot chic, brownies and popcorn also lies within. Only one way to find out right? For this one Will Ferrell is amping up the Christmas spirit as Buddy, an oversized elf who learns his true identity one fateful festive season – that he’s actually a human adopted by Santa. His subsequent visit to New York to find his family sees him spread Christmas cheer to cynics everywhere. We're feeling festive already. Certificate: PG. Runtime: 1 hour 33 minutes. Doors open at 7:30pm. Film starts at 8:30pm. Seating is unallocated, but the screen is on a stage so it's hard to get a bad view.
"At the beginning of every December, my only advent ritual is to curl up in a blanket and laugh with Buddy on a cold day."
