The film that had fanboys and girls clutching on to their mint condition, collectible Han Solo action figures for dear life, Star Wars: The Force Awakens is the seventh instalment in the fan-favourite. JJ Abrams was the man at the helm, hoping to redeem the films from Jar Jar Binks and a stoney-faced Ewan McGregor, and boy, did he deliver. This film has (inter)stellar action sequences, new and intriguing characters and, even though it's basically the same as A New Hope, it's still great. Get comfy and enjoy one of the funnest films of the year. Certificate: 12A. Running time: 2 hours 16 minutes. Bring stuff to keep you warm/dry in the British weather and something to sit on.
