The Press Play rooftop summer series wouldn't be complete without returning to Broadway House. The intimate rooftop space provides a unique setting to enjoy a classic film whilst taking in the London Skyline. BBQ food, drinks and Pops (the world’s first champagne ice lolly) will be on offer from 7pm; and, as always, you'll receive a free bag of Propercorn with every ticket. For this one, get ready for Mean Girls, starring Lindsay Lohan, Tina Fey, Rachel McAdams, Lacey Chabert, Amanda Seyfried and Lizzy Caplan. When Cady Heron (Lohan) relocated to America from Africa, she finds herself lost amongst the tribes of her new high school: the jocks, the cheerleaders, the stoners, the "cool" kids, and so on. Much to her surprise, Cady finds herself embraced by a clique of rich and popular girls known to outsiders as "the Plastics". However, with so many unwritten social codes of conduct and too much bitchy behaviour, Cady's new life is not easy. Funnier and more smartly written than the average teen comedy, Mean Girls offers a hilarious insight into the life inside school alongside so many quotable lines. "Fey and Waters gently tweak the studios’ usual high-gloss caricature of adolescence and aim for acutely hilarious and surprisingly empathic sociology." – Time Out "Mean Girls takes a sledgehammer to everything from cliques to status anxiety." – Film4 Certificate: 12. Runtime: 1 hour 33 minutes.
"A movie classic."
