A night-long celebration of all things David Hockney from the '60s to present dayThink LA swimming pools, colourful Yorkshire landscapes, Ossie Clark and Celia Birtwell portraits, photo collages and Walt Whitman poetry as we lead you through Hockney’s world.

Savage Disco, the ‘naughty little sister’ to infamous London clubbers Sink the Pink, bring some LA poolside fun to Burlington House with their troupe of DJs and performers.
- Polaroid photo studio
Strike a pose and step inside our photo studio to have your picture taken while you try on Hockney spectacles.
- Live installation of Mr and Mrs Ossie Clarke and Percy
Installation artists Abby and Alice bring this infamous work to life, imagining what might have existed beyond the frame in this immersive and interactive live installation. Rummage through drawers and discover more about the infamous artist couple.
- iPad drawing
Pose for an iPad portrait and learn techniques with artist Timothy Betjeman.
- Hockney face painting
Become a work of art yourself, as Maya Lewis bedecks you in her Hockney-inspired designs.
- Speed portrait dating
Take part in this speed dating experience with a difference, as you get paired up to sketch a stranger’s portrait, Hockney style.
- Life drawing based on Hockney’s Illustrations for Fourteen Poems from C.P. Cavafy
After visiting Beirut in 1966, Hockney created a series of etchings celebrating gay love based on Cavafy’s poetry. Art Macabre host this drawing salon, complete with Cavafy poetry performances.
Plus film screenings, activities, talks, street food stalls, cocktails and more.
Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Dress code: David Hockney, with prizes on the night for the most convincing Hockney. We ask that guests arrive before 9pm to guarantee receipt of the complimentary cocktail. Please note the Ground Floor areas will close at 11.45pm, the Fine Rooms and Hockney Portraits exhibition will close at 10.30pm.
