Richard Herring: The Headmaster’s Son
This vintage standup show has matured like a funny fine wine
Who needs Edinburgh when you've got London instead? Not Richard Herring. Forgoing the traditional trip up to the land of haggis, kilts and the UK's largest fringe festival, Herring has instead decided to relearn 12 of his classic, critically-acclaimed solo standup shows. Seven years after it was first performed in Edinburgh, Richard will be performing the classic The Headmaster's Son routine. Richard was a podgy, virginal swot of a schoolboy. To make matters worse, his dad was the headmaster. In this show, the stage becomes a therapist's chair as Herring examines the psychological repercussions of a childhood filled with mistrust of his peers. Some memories are best left forgotten... Over 18s only. Valid ID required. Doors open 30 minutes before start-time. Please arrive on time as latecomers may not be admitted.“Gut-clenchingly funny.”
