A screening in memory of Robin Williams, with all profits going to Mind Charity
Picture this: you are watching a great film. You have some great food and your favourite drink, be that a pint or a cocktail. You are on a rooftop. There are panoramic views of the city and the sun is setting. Everything is good; life is great. Sound like a dream? Well, thanks to Rooftop Film Club and YPlan, it ain't no more. In memory of the late great Robin Williams, who passed away a year ago this August, tonight's screening is of '90s comedy, Mrs Doubtfire. After out-of-work actor Daniel Hilliard loses custody of his three children to his ex-wife Miranda (Sally Field), he dresses up in drag to become the matronly Mrs. Doubtfire, the family's new nanny. Williams shines so brightly as Daniel/Doubtfire that this film is impossible to resist – the term classic has never been more fitting. "Nothing holds Mr Williams back when he's on a roll." – New York Times "Two hours of undeniably solid entertainment, and not too many viewers can argue with that." – ReelViews Over 18s only. Valid ID required. Runtime: 2 hours. Certificate: 12A.
"Still a riot."
