Grammy-nominated funk-jazz outfit meets pioneering beat-scientist
Kneedelus are exploratory, Grammy-nominated funk-jazz outfit Kneebody and pioneering beat-scientist Daedelus (born Alfred Darlington). Their music sits inside the rich pantheon of instrumental music, but with a modern sheen that takes the shape of a multi-headed beast straddling rock, jazz, and electronic music. Their self-titled debut is out on Brainfeeder, a sure sign of innovation and creativity in jazz and beyond.
This scintillating collaboration explores the theory of technological singularity – the notion that humans and computer technology will increasingly blend together. Together they move into the deep synthesis of electronic and acoustic players, creating a true union of these disparate approaches to music and genre as a whole. Part of Serious Space Shoreditch, you won't see another funk-jazz-beat-scientist crossover like this again any time soon.
