A collection of inspiring films that challenge assumptions on the process of ageing
Inspired by the UN International Day Of Older Persons, Short Sighted Cinema present a selection of surprising and inspiring short films that challenge assumptions on the process of ageing. There'll also be live talks from specially invited guests and filmmakers. Short Sighted Cinema aims to bring short film to the mainstream, with programmes featuring everything from imaginative animations to laugh-out-loud comedies, gripping dramas and inspiring documentaries. Come and join the journey, with highs and lows that'll entertain, excite and inform, from all corners of British filmmaking. The programme includes: - Aunty Ganga – Asmita Shrish - Head Over Heels – Timothy Reckhart - Directed By Tweedie – Duncan Cowles - Born To Be Mild – Andy Oxley - People Of The Peninsula – Poppy Buckley - An All Encompassing Light – Chloe White Doors are at 7pm and films start at 7:30pm. Seats are on a first come first served basis. Please arrive on time as latecomers may not be admitted.
