The feel-good movie with a differenceOne of the hottest films from last year is now being screened at one of London's quirkiest cinemas. Winning Jennifer Lawrence her first Oscar for best actress, Silver Linings Playbook is a rom-com with a difference. Lawrence plays Tiffany, a troubled young widow who suffers from boundary issues which subsequently get her fired from her job for sleeping with all of her co workers. In an attempt at personal redemption, Tiffany enters a local dance competition in aid of a police charity where she meets Pat, played by Bradley Cooper. Pat suffers from his own demons, having been committed to a psychiatric hospital for Bipolar Disorder and an incident of domestic violence. Sparks soon fly and the two quickly embark on a witty and mesmerising journey of personal development, love and life.
'Jennifer Lawrence is some kind of miracle. She's rude, dirty, funny, foulmouthed, sloppy, sexy, vibrant and vulnerable, sometimes all in the same scene, even in the same breath.' - Rolling Stone.
