What is it?

It’s time to hit pause and get comfy. The power of a good nap and a satisfying cuddle are pretty much indisputable (just think of all those happy babies snoozing and snuggling without a care in the world), but with our overloaded modern schedules, getting enough of either can be tough. Join the experts at Samsung KX for this fascinating two-part talk which will make you consider just how important sleep and cuddles are to our wellbeing, even as high-functioning adults.

In the first part, ‘The Power of Touch’ , Rebekka Mikkola uses her expertise as a cuddle therapist to explain how touch is our ‘forgotten sense’, despite how fundamental it is to all us humans. Mikkola is the co-founder of Nordic Cuddle, a London-based company specialising in lowering anxiety, treating depression and, above all, forging connection through touch.

In the second part, check it with Yoann Demont from Pop & Rest for his talk ‘Why Sleep Matters’. As the co-founder of London’s first meditation and nap pods, Demont understands the science behind sleep, including (in our opinion) the magical qualities of the power nap. Lovely.
