Exclusive supper club with recipes from The Real Bread Campaign’s new bookTuesday 13 June, 6:30 PM
Whole Foods Market Kensington
Join the book’s author Chris Young at Whole Foods Market for an exclusive two-course supper club with recipes from the Campaign’s new book, Slow Dough: Real Bread. Delve into the world of bread making and see the difference Real Bread can make to taste, texture and overall satisfaction. While you're enjoying your supper, you’ll also get the chance to ask Chris your burning bread questions and pick his brain on the joys of Real Bread.
On the menu is his chicken bread soup to start, followed by a main course of Campaign supporter Ma Baker’s version of a classic Italian panzanella. Chris will also be available after supper to sign the book, should you wish to purchase it on the night.
Chris Young is the co-ordinator of the Real Bread Campaign, part of the food and farming charity Sustain, on a mission to promote additive-free bread. In addition to compiling Slow Dough: Real Bread, Chris edits the quarterly magazine True Loaf, and wrote Knead to Know, the Campaign's book on setting up a microbakery. His work has appeared in publications including Spear's Magazine and The Real Food Cookbook, and he edits London Food Link’s ethical food magazine, The Jellied Eel.
