Music from soulful and unique singer-songwritersThe Spies Society weekly showcase of musical talent, Le Chiffre Live, continues at the South Place Hotel with a series of intimate sets.
- The London-based singer-songwriter Orli Nyles is blessed with a big voice and an ear for an unshakeable hook. Blues and jazz influences shine through in Nyles' soulful songs, performed with an energy that's contagious.
- A performance from two incredibly talented artists, Asya and Yaz Fentazi (on guitar). Born in Stockholm to Sudanese parents – and steeped in a myriad of disparate musical influences ranging from Aretha Franklin to Kate Bush – Asya spent her formative years travelling. Her love for singing and performing, inspired by the everyday conflicts of life and love, prompted her to start writing her own songs at the age of 15.
- Marta Capponi is a young jazz vocalist and composer. She has collaborated with great Italian and international musicians such as Bobby Dhuram (who accompanied jazz icons like Ella Fitzgerald and Shawn Monteiro) and Fabrizio Bosso – a leading trumpet player in the Italian jazz scene who recently recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra. Her repertoire travels with ease from traditional jazz standard to modern jazz through her own original compositions and arrangements of pop songs.
