Short film from Oscar-winning directorOscar winner Steve McQueen has produced bigger films – 12 Years a Slave is as epic as it gets. Nevertheless, the award-winning director has never created something like Ash before. This short film, clocking in around the ten-minute mark, is a single-shot piece that focuses on a Grenadian man at sea. With McQueen at the helm, a lot can happen in a short space of time. Drugs, murder, fishing, diving and glorious Caribbean weather all surface before the tension eases and the end credits roll.
