Rhythm, blues, and a whole load of tortured genius
The legendary city of Memphis provides the backdrop to a story about myth and madness. Rising star Willis Earl Beal plays a singer on the brink of stardom. But as he loses his path, he finds himself fighting against hustlers, preachers, and beautiful women in this impressionistic film. We've also managed to nab you guest list to the Sundance opening party, featuring DJs, bands, and a whole load of fun. Stick around after for a Q&A with the film's writer and director, Tim Sutton. Best available seating. Over 18s only. The opening party takes place at the Brooklyn Bowl festival hub from 9pm-midnight; doors are at 8pm, over 18s only.
