Genre defying multi-instrumentalist makes waves...and his own costumes
Jimi Tenor hails from Finland. And has a name that is partly inspired by his teen idol Jimmy Osmond. This isn’t about toothy grins and longhaired lovers though. Tenor is an avant-garde musician; making skittish pop that's influenced by everything from '60s Nuggets synth to Afro-American music. He’s a little bit silly, a little bit glamorous, and makes songs that sound instantly familiar. Tonight he plays live as part of the Festival of Exploratory Music, which is celebrating Finland's finest musicians over four days. Best available seating.
"Jimi is a remarkable multi-instrumentalist who can write and orchestrate brilliantly."
