The Cantus Ensemble: Butterfly Dreams

A dreamy concert that will give you tummy butterflies

Join one of London’s leading and most dynamic chamber choirs, The Cantus Ensemble, for a spectacular summer concert, ‘Butterfly Dreams’, the climax of the 2014-15 season. With a varied programme of transcendental melodic delights including Britten’s ‘Five Flower Songs’, Paul Mealor’s ‘Now Sleeps the Crimson Petal’ and Tavener’s ‘Butterfly Dreams’, this performance is surely not to be missed. The concert will also feature world premiere performances of the shortlisted pieces from the inaugural Cantus Ensemble Composition Competition: - Louise Drewett: Whither is thy beloved gone? - David Fawcett: A garden inclosed is my spouse - Mikhall Johnson: Rose of Sharon - Patrick Friel: Let us go forth! The works will be judged by a panel of experts including award-winning composer and conductors, Alexander Campkin and Ronald Corp OBE. Please arrive on time as latecomers may not be admitted.
