It might sound like the latest CSI, but this is a grimly true storyIsrael Ticas’ life hinges on danger. He’s El Salvador’s only criminologist and regularly uncovers mass graves filled with missing teenagers, brutal victims of gang warfare. His nickname is The Engineer, as he fuses forensic skills with his background in system engineering to get the job done. This documentary follows him in 2012, when two of the biggest gangs declared a truce. But although the murder rate dramatically fell, it doesn’t account for the whole story.
