The Gun's Film Club: Jaws
dun dun…dunn dunn…dunn dun dun dun dun dun dun dunnnn dun
The Gun's monthly Film Club is back with a resounding bang for a special screening of the 1975 classic, Jaws. Hosted on their beautiful (heated!) riverside marquee, guests are invited to pitch up a chair, get cosy under a blanket and enjoy the film with a complimentary bag of popcorn and the option to purchase classic frankfurter hot dogs and creamy vodka and bourbon milkshakes. That definitely sounds like something we wanna sink our teeth into. Jaws is a film that needs no introduction. Directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Richard Dreyfuss and Roy Scheider, the film struck fear into the hearts of viewers – even those who live nowhere near the sea – when it was released in 1975. Now, 40 years later, it remains just as good a film. "This is a suspense classic that leaves teeth-marks." – The Guardian "A classic. Tense, engrossing, scary and, subsequently, endlessly influential." – Film4 Ticket price includes complimentary bag of popcorn. Deckchairs and blankets are on a first come first served basis.
"Perhaps the most perfectly constructed horror story in our time."
