The Last Word Festival 2016: The C/D Borderline
Celebrate the best of spoken word at The Roundhouse
Featuring the best of poetry, storytelling and live performance, The Last Word Festival returns to The Roundhouse (one of the world's most incredible live performance venues) for another year. The festival showcases the best talent in spoken word, from the genre's trailblazers to rising stars and everything in between. Get ready to be amused, moved and lexically delighted by the best wordsmiths around. If you work really, really hard, with a lot of luck, you could get a C…but you probably won’t. Writer and performer Paul Cree weaves his way through the tales of two mates, from primary school to adulthood and low skilled employment. Expect tales of football, cars, cress plants, traintracks, drum ‘n' bass, hash, booze and GNVQs. The show takes place in the Dorfman Hub at The Roundhouse. Please arrive on time as latecomers may not be admitted.
“His storytelling was thoroughly engaging, layered with experience and iced with wit. I was hungry for more.”
