The Last Word Festival 2016: The Sleep Show
Celebrate the best of spoken word at The Roundhouse
Featuring the best of poetry, storytelling and live performance, The Last Word Festival returns to The Roundhouse (one of the world's most incredible live performance venues) for another year. The festival showcases the best talent in spoken word, from the genre's trailblazers to rising stars and everything in between. Get ready to be amused, moved and lexically delighted by the best wordsmiths around. This is comedy-meets-theatre-meets-talking about sleep by the award-winning writer and performer Rob Auton. Having explored the colour yellow in 2012’s The Yellow Show, the sky in 2013’s The Sky Show, faces in 2014’s The Face Show, water in 2015’s The Water Show, Rob now turns his attention to sleep with 2016’s The Sleep Show. The Sleep Show is suitable for anybody who has slept or seen someone sleeping. “Charming, eccentric and uplifting, Auton is a talent to watch.” – The Independent The show takes place in the Sackler Space at The Roundhouse. Please arrive on time as latecomers may not be admitted.
“A genuine original. Poetical, philosophical, humane, completely charming and funny to boot.”
