The Luna Cinema: Casablanca
Movie in the moonlight
Luna Cinema host the UK's leading open-air screenings, riffing on a simple premise: classic films, big screens, beautiful settings. Tonight the location is Sissinghurst Castle; surely it doesn't get much better than that? Set in unoccupied Africa during the early days of World War II, an American expat meets his ex-lover with unforeseen complications. Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman play it out in one of the most famous on-screen pairings in film history. Beautifully romantic. Best available seating. There's a bar and hot food available on site, but feel free to bring a picnic. You'll probably wanna bring a blanket to sit on and something cosy to wear too. The screening will go ahead whatever the weather, so bring a waterproof jacket or a blanket. There are ponchos available to buy on site.
"Casablanca is the most sociable, the most companionable film ever made. Life as an endless party."
