A theatrical presentation with cello accompanimentThis particular piece was first performed at the National Portrait Gallery in 1997 celebrating two of King's Cross’ most famous females, Mary Shelley and Mary Wollstonecraft. Longing for her mother’s affection, Shelley pours her heart out in a letter to an English friend (and subsequently her mother’s first pupil). It’s a fair representation of some of England’s finest feminists and a great discussion starter.
