Get your tastebuds tingling at Brighton's whiskey festival
Forget beer festivals – Otherplace in Brighton is hosting The Whiskey Affair, the place to go if you love trying new whiskeys, want to learn about this fascinating drink and are dying to hear some incredible live music. Otherplace will be packed to the rafters with a whole range of whiskeys, from scotch to American bourbon, as well as whiskeys from the drink's spiritual home Ireland and other far-flung varieties from the Netherlands, Sweden, Taiwan and Japan. Plus, there'll be a ton of delicious cocktails for those not so much into whiskey. You don't have to be a connoisseur to come – this event's all about having fun. The event will operate as a cashless bar where you purchase tokens (available throughout the night in the venue) which you then trade in for your drinks. You can have as many drinks as you life – this method just means less queueing at the bar! Perfect. There'll be photo-booth to immortalise the night you truly fell in love with whiskey, and you can purchase a bottle of any of the whiskeys that take your fancy to take home with you. A live rockabilly band are also set to perform, so this night is sure to be a good one for whiskey-heads and fun-lovers alike. Over 18s only. Valid ID required.
