Each weekend they offer a fantastic menu and a selection of wines picked to complement the meals. Putting a slight skew on the traditional roast, the veg becomes your starter, the meat is your main, and the sauce swoops in as dessert. Today, the chefs offer up chicken and pheasant in this double bird bonanza.
This afternoon's menu is the "The Birds" roast, with each course served with a wine pairing:
The veg: leek and gruyere tart.
The meat: roast chicken and roast pheasant wrapped in bacon, potato dauphinoise with lemon and thyme stuffing.
The sauce: cranberry panna cotta.
