This provocative comedy drama comes from the hand of multi Molière Award-winning French playwright Alexis Michalik. It’s deeply moving, nuanced and emotional but you can expect more than a few big laughs, too – it’s very, very funny in places.
The plot follows ageing actor Richard as he sets out to direct his first theatre class in a prison – he’s assisted by his ex-wife (a former-actress herself) and an unskilled social worker, but only two inmates turn up for the class. Not the most promising start, but Richard decides to go ahead regardless. Little does he know, he’s about to embark on a captivating, amusing exploration of life, all within the confines of the prison.
Expect laughs, tears and heartbreak in this multi-faceted new drama. Tickets are now up to 45% off – at just £15 each.
