‘The Night of the Iguana’ follows a group of lost souls as their worlds collide at a hotel verandah on a vertiginous rainforest cliffside in Mexico. A priest-turned-tourist-guide, the hotel manager who recently became widowed, an overjoyed family of Nazis and an travelling portrait artist accompanied by her 97 year old poet grandfather all meet at the dilapidated lodging. The result? A battle between captivity and freedom, teeming with tension – all heightened by a torrential tropical rain storm.
