Vault Festival 2016: I Never Told A Joke In My Life
Tragic theatre and stand-up comedy collide, with devastating effect
London's biggest arts festival is returning: make your way underground for six weeks of creativity, innovation and chaos at Vault Festival. With more than 100 different shows spread across eight incredible venues, you're not going to find anything else like it above or below ground any time soon. This show is a speech about dead comedians, about forgotten comedians, about every comedian that’s ever been and ever will be. A seemingly aimless and endless speech, with tangents dragging in audience interaction, fragments of jokes and moments of genuine comedy, before slowly focusing in on the real punch line - something far darker. Show takes place in the Pit space. Running time is approximately 50 minutes. The venue entrance is in a graffiti tunnel under Waterloo and can be a bit tricky to find, so give yourself good time to get there.
"Sweetly inventive and brazenly original."
