Vault Festival 2016: The Gyro + Me For Queen
A free double-header with two amazing London acts
London's biggest arts festival is returning: make your way underground for six weeks of creativity, innovation and chaos at Vault Festival. With more than 100 different shows spread across eight incredible venues, you're not going to find anything else like it above or below ground any time soon. The Gyro are a four piece funk-rock band with thought provoking, foot tapping, hand clapping funk mixed with a sweet array of melodies. Me For Queen combine years of classical training with eclectic musical appetites, to create a rich blend of folk, jazz, soul and blues. After the success of their concept album, Iron Horse, which spanned funk, soul, folk and indie, Me For Queen are back with a more pared-down, rootsy follow-up. Over 18s only. Valid ID required. Event finishes at 1am. The venue entrance is in a graffiti tunnel under Waterloo and can be a bit tricky to find, so give yourself good time to get there.
"Sweetly inventive and brazenly original."
