Vault Festival 2016: The Princess And The Pea
An irreverent musical comedy for kids based on the classic fairytale
London’s biggest arts festival is returning: make your way underground for six weeks of creativity, innovation and chaos at Vault Festival. With more than 100 different shows spread across eight incredible venues, you're not going to find anything else like it above or below ground any time soon. To win Prince Hogarth's hand, farmer's daughter Princess needs to pass a ridiculous, vegetable-based test. How can Princess and Hogarth trick the system and win eternal happiness? The Princess And The Pea is a brand new, chaotic, vibrant and hilarious production with an original soundtrack brought to you from Youaremine in association with Trinity Productions. Tom Crowley’s adaptation is based on The Princess and the Pea, one of Hans Christian Andersen's shortest yet best-known stories. Whilst the original folk-tale heroine relies on deception, Andersen’s Princess relies on her own wits and sensitivity to teach the Prince that, above all else, what is most important is to remain true to yourself. Not recommended for children under 6. The show takes place in the Locker space. Running time is approximately 1 hour.
"Sweetly inventive and brazenly original.”
