An energizing Voga workout, a dip in the Kings Cross Pond and a delicious brunchThis summer, Grade II listed German Gymnasium is teaming up with House Of Voga and King’s Cross Pond to bring to North London a series of fitness brunches every Saturday morning. Guests will be invited to take part in an Voga sesh followed by a dip in the Kings Cross Pond (managed by leisure charity Fusion Lifestyle) before heading to the restaurant for a specially-designed, healthy brunch.
Kicking the morning off at 10:30am, the poolside Voga class combines the breath-synchronized movement of Yoga with ‘vogueing’ and the expressive moves of dance. Suitable for all ages, skills and fitness levels, Voga offers a fun way to get fit and make the most of exercising outdoors in the warmer weather. After working up a sweat striking a pose to the '80s soundtrack, participants will be invited to cool off with a leisurely swim in the UK’s first piece of experiential land art, King’s Cross Pond, for up to two hours.
Located a short walk away from the pond, former Victorian gym, German Gymnasium, will provide a healthy way to refuel post-workout with a selection of brunch dishes designed to pack a protein and superfood punch, from avocado and poached eggs to coconut and almond milk chia pots. Coffee, tea or a fresh juice is included in the offering in addition to the option to try a refreshing non-alcoholic cocktail for an additional £10, specially created for the fitness brunch by Bar Manager, Fred Tartas. The ‘Voga Mocktail’ is a mix of cucumber, lemongrass, ginger cordial, lime, and apple juice served over crushed ice, and enables a little indulgence without undoing the morning’s hard work.
Over 18s only. Valid ID required. Please wear appropriate clothing for a workout and swimming. Brunch times are from 1.30pm until 3.45pm.
