Waste Land follows Brazilian artist and photographer Vik Muniz on a journey from Brooklyn back to the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro. He's exploring the world's biggest garbage dump and the life of catadores - people who scavenge the heaps for recyclable materials. The documentary sees them recreate their portraits out of scrap, and in turn reimagine their lives.
