West End Film Club: Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon + DJ
Celebrate Chinese New Year in style
Does your typical movie night consist of pyjamas, popcorn and an old DVD? The West End Film Club reckon movie nights need a bit of a shakeup. They're bringing glitz and glamour back to movie nights, with a series of film screenings in London's hottest West End destinations, followed by epic rooftop afterparties. It really is a cinematic experience unlike any other. This time round they've settle on Chinatown. In honour of the year of the Monkey, why not start your evening with a 'Monkey Magic' cocktail on the Century roof, before enjoying a live performance by Erhu musician Wan Pin Chu? After you've wetted your appetite, relax on one of their super comfy bean bags (don't worry - they have regular seats too!) for a screening of the Oscar-winning martial arts classic Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon directed by Ang Lee, whilst chowing down on some tasty treats from their in house Dim Sum menu. Finally, dance the night away on the Century roof to the beats of renowned DJ Andy Leung. Program: - Doors (07:00pm) - Music (08:00pm) - Film (08:30pm) - DJ (until 02:00am) Over 18s only. Valid ID required. A portion of proceeds from this event will be donated to Chinatown Arts Space. Runing time: 2 hours.
"For all the leaping action, it's the film's spirit that soars."
