Sleep all day. Party all night. Never grow old. Never die. It's fun to be a vampire.
Does your typical movie night consist of pyjamas, popcorn and an old DVD? The West End Film Club reckon movie nights need a bit of a shakeup. They're bringing glitz and glamour back to movie nights, with a series of film screenings in London's hottest West End destinations, followed by epic rooftop afterparties. It really is a cinematic experience unlike any other. This time, catch a special halloween screening of the film that made vampire flicks cool. Joel Schumacher's The Lost Boys blends horror, humour and teenage rebelliousness in a film that oozes with style. This is an '80s classic and the young cast pull of a spine-tingingly good performance. To get you into the halloween spirit, there'll be a special pre-screening performance from dark character-comedy duo The Twins Macabre, blood curdling cocktails and monstrous movie munchies available, plus a spookily good rooftop halloween party after the screening. And to top it all off, you'll get to recreate that iconic Michael Jackson music video with a Thriller Dance Off as the witching hour approaches. There's two screenings to pick from, so have a look at what time suits you best below. Screening One: Doors: 7pm The Twins Macabre: 7:30pm Film: 8pm Screening Two: Doors: 10pm The Twins Macabre: 10:15pm Film: 10:30pm "A sexy blend of bad lads, bloodsuckers, camp comedy and carnage." – Total Film "This unashamedly glossy take on vampire mythology has a clever script that's packed with twists, and builds to a surprisingly tense climax." – Radio Times Over 18s only.
