Director talks about his labour of loveCelebrated film historian and director Kevin Brownlow chats tonight about the part he played in the classic Brit flick Winstanley. In 1652 there was a radical rebel named Gerrard Winstanley who brought together Christianity and communism. Pretty ahead of his time. This extraordinary character was brought to life some centuries later in 1976, when Brownlow’s film was made over seven years on a shoestring budget. Tonight, he talks about the good, the bad, and the rebellious before a Q+A and book signing.
