What would you do if Sonny + Cher woke you up every morning?
Shuffle Festival is an initiative that’s redeveloping St Clement’s in East London. And it’s getting a Dickensian makeover complete with Christmas tree, comfy armchairs, and an array of cultural spectacles. Tonight, they’re screening Groundhog Day, where Bill Murray is in an eternal winter of discontent. He has to live February 2nd over and over and over again, until he can get over his self-centred attitude. This is a sweet turn by Murray, who turns what could be an annoying narrative premise into heartwarming cinema. Best available seating. Over 18s only.
"As well as a perfect star vehicle, the film is a brilliant analysis of the implications of the film's simple conceit."
