A battle of brawn and brainsIn these crazy modern times, it's not good to be one-sided in your skill-set. Yeah sure you might be smart but what happens when sometimes tries getting rough with ya? Huh? Huh!? Or conversely, you might be tough, but what happens when someone throws some spontaneous algebra your way? What ya gonna do? Nothing, that's what. You're gonna look right silly.
But not if you're a chessboxer. Chessboxing is a wild mix-up of two of mankind’s oldest sporting obsessions. The big dogs on the chessboxing scene include city trader Sean Mooney who scaled Mount Everest and Danny Bent, one of the 100 happiest people in the UK according to the Independent On Sunday.
There'll also be a ding-dong debate led by chessboxer Karl Ouch on the role of chessboxing in a post-modern society. Plus there's live cabaret performances, DJs and dancing. There's a reason why chess boxing has such a cult following. Find out now.
