Charting the mystical path of flamenco from India to Seville, Zik'r seamlessly blends traditional instruments with exciting electronic elements and the energising performance is set alight by spectacular, powerful flamenco dance.
Having begun life in India at the World Sufi Spirit Festival, Zik'r has played several celebrated UK dates including the 2015 Edinburgh Festival Fringe and now returns as a reworked and newly expanded piece.
Zik'r is a collaboration between dancer and writer Karen Ruimy and Killing Joke bassist Youth. Youth has produced for bands including The Verve, Paul McCartney, Pink Floyd and Crowded House and is working on new material with Pete Murphy and Echo and the Bunnymen. Ruimy is a flamenco dancer and singer who has performed all over the world with acclaimed shows at the Folies Bergère in Paris and London’s Lyric Theatre. Catch this raw and powerful performance at the Peacock Theatre in June.
Runtime: 2 hours 20 minutes, including an interval. All ticket prices for Zik'r are inclusive of any booking fees: YPlan will not charge you any additional amounts for your tickets. When booking tickets, you can pick your seat from the seatmap once you've selected a date. For your comfort and security, you may be subject to additional checks on your visit to London theatres. Your patience and understanding is appreciated while these take place. Valid ID required for ticket collection.
West End theatre ticket sales are final and bookings cannot be amended, exchanged or refunded (unless of course the performance is cancelled). All listed offers are subject to availability and can be withdrawn at any time.
