A Man's World

Feminism + New York in 1910

The most recent stage adaptation of Rachel Crothers’ 1910 novel set in Greenwich Village follows the fictitious life of Frank Ware. It’s an original tale of an independent woman, but before we had Beyoncé to look up to. The play documents her struggle to fight the double standard as an artist, foster mother, and all around feminist badass. Check out how this cast acts out some pretty serious themes from the novel. General admission.
