Subs meet Sartre in this existential play that follows the trials and triumphs of three sandwich franchise workers (a teenager, a mom, and an ex-corporate banker). They've perfected that pesky mustard-to-cheese ratio, but what will become of them when a series of strange events derail their plans? A story about a post-recession world, American Hero is hilarious, surreal, and messy. If that doesn't have American dream written all over it, we don't know what does.
