Bouncy, euphoric indie pop from a Vancouver quartet
You’ll realize one thing when listening to Bear Mountain: no two songs of theirs sound alike. One might feature Samba-ish tribal beats and frenetic chanting, while another might be more electro-pop heavy. No matter the style, this foursome from Vancouver spin basic basslines into something fresh, not unlike Hot Chip or Cut Copy. It may be fall, but they’ll have you envisioning a tropical utopia at one of their shows. Now who doesn’t want that? They’ll be joined by The Ceremonies, Clear Plastic Masks, Prides, The Districts, and Wardell for a nice little indie lineup. General admission. Over 19s only.
"The fact they could catch so much attention says something about the potential and staying power of their music."
