Vampire Weekend bassist Baio strikes out on his own
Chris Baio is no stranger to success: as the Vampire Weekend bassist, he has three critically-acclaimed albums under his belt, the latter of which won a Grammy award. Between albums and touring however, he realised that he had a song of his own that he wanted to tell. Cue the release of The Names, his debut solo album. In the work he draws on a diverse range of inspirations, from the electronic music that he DJ'd at college, his move from NYC to London and his deep connection with the author Don DeLillo (from whom he appropriated the album title) that combine to create a piece that is unique, insightful and – quite simply – a great record. Here's your chance to catch him doing his thing back in the state he hailed from. You will be allocated the best available seats at the chosen price point.
