Co-founders Sue Conley and Peggy Smith were head honchos at two excellent artisanal haunts in Berkeley (Bette’s Oceanview Diner and the famed Chez Panisse) before teaming up to make mouth-watering fresh cheese, which is now sold to over 500+ retail outposts, restaurants, and even Whole Foods.
