The Guggenheim embodies iconic art havenZERO scholar Tiziana Caianiello will discuss Creamcheese, the psychedelic discotheque and artist hangout spot in Düsseldorf frequented by artists Adolf Luther, Heinz Mack, Gerhard Richter, and Daniel Spoerri. Conceived by Günther Uecker, this meeting place was known as being an incubator of arts and progressive music…like Andy Warhol's Factory but with a German twist. Creamcheese will take over the Guggenheim with performances by Brooklyn-based psych-rock band Oneida and visual effects by Joshue Light Show artist Brock Monroe to close out the night.
