Dance Gavin Dance
Rousing hooks + catchy guitar work from an eclectic alt band
In a music world lined with shoegaze and electro-pop, it’s nice to see a genre-bending outfit like Dance Gavin Dance get some love. Back in 2005, they were typecast as emo post-hardcore, but they’ve blossomed since, picking up ribbons of jazz fusion, soul, and pop. Their roster is notoriously unstable, but shapeshifting seems to have worked well for the Sacramento sextet; they have four albums and an EP to their name. Abandon All Ships, Stolas, and Incredible Me will join. General admission. Over 16s only."There’s hardly any denying it, Dance Gavin Dance is easily one of the most interesting bands to thrive in this scene of music."
