Folk ditties from the Grammy-award winning trio’s string musician
Dom Flemons is proof that inspiration can strike anywhere. The Arizona native first got the music bug after watching an episode about folk music revival on PBS. Since 2005, he brought his old-timey blues meets gospel flair to Carolina Chocolate Drops, the Grammy award-winning trio. With them, he’s hit up plenty of folk fests, and not just this side of the Atlantic, but in Ireland, Holland, and all over Great Britain too. The banjo-toting songster will be joined by Jessy Carolina and The Hot Mess. General admission. This event is all ages. Seating in the venue is first come, first served. There is a full dinner menu available for extra cost and a $10 minimum per person at all tables.
"There’s artful variety; the band may have a particular approach, but they’re no purists. Ragtime, jug band novelties, calypso and even folk-rock jostle among the hoedowns and jigs."
