Face The Music
The country’s only ensemble for kids plays alt-classics
Orchestras featured on NPR’s All Things Considered tend to be of legal age, but not so with the gifted young virtuosos who make up Face The Music. The talented teenagers convene every Sunday to play music by living composers, like Julliard grad and Met-commissioned artist Nico Muhly. These kids, who have been culled from all over New York, have star wattage and they’re primed to become luminaries in the contemporary music world. We dare you not to be impressed. General admission. Over 21s only.
"A force in the new music world."
