Iowa songwriters with stories worth hearing
Like most musicians, Greg Brown's songwriting is a product of his environment. Born and bred in Iowa, Brown was raised on a diet of blues and country records, with most of his family playing an instrument of some kind. In 1986, he set William Blake’s Songs of Innocence to music and has never looked back. The seasoned songwriter will be appearing with fellow Iowa native Pieta Brown, whose haunting folk songs maintain the storytelling tradition.
